Heretics has announced the termination of coach Morgan “B1GGY” Madour following Esports Integrity Commission’s recent verdict regarding a spectator bug. The ESIC confirmed that B1GGY is guilty of abusing the bug and will no longer be a part of its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive division.

Many coaches came forward with their confessions as soon as ESIC began the investigation. However, the list of confirmed cheaters also revealed several unexpected names. B1GGY was on the esports watch dog’s hit list for using the bug in 26 rounds.

The Spanish team said that they had received a confirmation of B1GGY’s ban from ESIC prior to the public announcement.

“We received confirmation from ESIC that our current CSGO coach, , has been banned from all competitions for using the bug exploit three times this year,” Heretics said.

Heretic’s B1GGY was handed a punishment of seven and a half months for abusing the bug in three separate instances. The coach triggered the bug and used it to gain a vantage point across different maps in ECS Season 8 Europe Pinnacle Cup, La Copa 2019, and European Champions Cup.

B1GGY joined Heretics in 2019 and has guided the team in numurous tournaments during his tenure. The coach abused the bug during his three-month trial period in Heretics.

This is not B1GGY’s first time in troubled waters. Valve permanently banned the coach in 2015 over a match-fixing scandal. The coach was playing as a stand-in for Epsilon and landed on Valve’s radar for losing a match on purpose.

The two bans put a giant question mark over B1GGY’s future in esports. It could be for the same reason that unlike other organizations who have suspended their coaches, Heretics has decided to terminate the contract of B1GGY.

Heretics’ players claim they were unaware of coach exploits

The Spanish organization clarified that the team players are not complicit in the coach bug scenario. The organization claims to have studied the evidence and found no proof of players’ involvement.

“After reviewing carefully all the involved matches, at Heretics we have no reason to believe that any of the players were aware of this bug exploit,”

The organization has apologized to the CSGO community and further said that they oppose any activity that tarnishes esports integrity. B1GGY has made no comments on his ban or team’s official statement.

With B1GGY’s release, team Heretics is left with no coach for the first time since September 2019.
