FlyQuest introduces WorldQuest for the 2020 World Championship
FlyQuest is heading to its first world championship and the organization is going to make the most of it with the introduction of WorldQuest.
FlyQuest is going to plant trees and replenish corals throughout the 2020 League of Legends World Championship. FlyQuest will be basing their contributions on kills, secured Ocean Dragons, and every game the team wins throughout the group stage.
If FlyQuest manages to advance past the group stage, all contributions will be doubled. This means that FlyQuest will contribute $2,000 worth of trees and corals to One Tree Planted and The Coral Reef Alliance.
Furthermore, FlyQuest is introducing some bonus milestones which all accelerate the contributions. The bonuses will be unlocked throughout the tournament if FlyQuest manages to get there.
WorldQuest bonus milestones
- Making it out of groups ($5,000)
- Winning quarter finals ($10,000)
- Winning semi finals ($50,000)
- Winning the Summoner’s Cup ($100,000)
FlyQuest has made a point of bettering the environment through its Go Green initiatives. FlyQuest started out by planting trees for every win and dragon the team got in LCS matches through the TreeQuest campaign. This evolved into the SeaQuest campaign, launched during the 2020 LCS Summer Split.
This year’s Worlds will have the two campaigns combined into one, with the potential of a very big contribution. FlyQuest has ended up in a really tough group against Top Esports and DragonX, so the team will have to play out of their minds to reach the different bonus milestones.
Even if FlyQuest doesn’t make it out of groups, the initiative is still great and something that will certainly give them a few extra cheers when they hit Summoner’s Rift.
FlyQuest will play its first match at the 2020 World Championship on October 3 against Top Esports.
