Only a week after getting released by T1, North American duo Austin “crashies” Roberts and Victor “food” Wong have found a new home in Team Envy. The duo will be replacing Adam “aKis” Kisseberth and Abdo “c4Lypso” Agha who have been moved to the team’s reserve roster.

Long Counter-Strike: Global Offensive journeymen, crashies and food wound up competing for one of the world’s largest esports organizations when they were signed to T1’s inaugural Valorant roster. After a strong start to their Valorant careers, including a second-place finish at T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown, the team’s form suddenly plummeted as it stumbled in a number of events. In the end, it was crashies and food who paid the price for T1’s lackluster results, as they were cut from the team.

On the other hand, Envy has emerged as one of NA’s premier teams. Envy snagged a second-place finish at Pop Flash last month, falling to Sentinels 3-0 in the Grand Finals. The team is currently ranked fifth in the official Valorant rankings

Although the team’s roster exceeded expectations at Pop Flash, the addition of food and crashies is viewed as a substantial increase to Envy’s firepower. The change also follows c4Lypso’s alleged involvement in the Mountain Dew League match-fixing scandal that is currently under investigation by the ESIC.

Envy’s manager Ronnie “Talespin” DuPree commented on the roster change:

With no upcoming VALORANT events scheduled, it is still unknown when crashies and Food will be making their debut with Envy.
