Team Nigma looking strong despite an incomplete roster

Team Nigma started strong in OMEGA League despite playing without its captain, Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi, taking the top seed in the group stage and securing an upper bracket spot. Kuroky is still in physical therapy due to his arm injury. As a result, Team Nigma’s coach and former Team Liquid coach Roman “rmN-” Paley replaced him temporarily.

This is not the first time this happened. rmN- has also helped Team Nigma claim the championship title in its previous tournament, OGA Dota PIT Season 2.

Team Nigma is looking to take a second consecutive crown with its Omega League roster:

The team only lost a single series in the group stage, dropping its series against Evil Geniuses. Though the team is known for its lower bracket prowess, Nigma won the Dota PIT Season 2 with a clean sprint through the upper bracket and it hopes to do the same here.

OG struggling, but still strong

OG had several roster shakeups after its huge win at The International 2019 and hasn’t claimed a championship title since then. However, there are still multiple top-three finishes from the team.

OG claimed third place in the previous tournament OGA Dota Pit and has played well in the OMEGA League group stage, claiming the second upper bracket spot.

OG’s current lineup includes:

OG changed its roster in July by dropping Syed “SumaiL” Hassan in order to bring back Ceb on a full-time basis and move MidOne to a carry role. With Ceb back in the swing of things and MidOne more familiar with his new role, the team might be able to earn its first win in a tournament outside The International since 2017.
