Team Liquid has finally entered the competitive Valorant scene. And they have entered in style.

The rumors are true: Team Liquid has signed four members of the European Valorant team fish123 and former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom to create a very promising Valorant squad.

“We are proud to announce that Team Liquid will be entering Valorant!” Team Liquid announced on their official Discord. “We hope you’re just as excited as we are about getting into the hottest new esport.”

Attached to the reveal was a video showing off highlights from all of their new players. The video’s YouTube description said it was “well worth the wait” and many fans agree.

TL enters Valorant with ScreaM and fish123 roster

James “Kryptix” Affleck, Travis “L1NK” Mendoza, Dom “soulcas” Sulcas, Adam “ec1s” Eccles, and Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks have made fish123 one of the best Valorant teams in all of Europe. During the game’s beta period, fish123 was undefeated in tournaments. The UK squad continued to remain on top of the charts when the game officially launched, although they have faltered in a few more recent tournaments.

But fish123 should become even stronger with the help of ScreaM, a French CSGO veteran who became known for his insane accuracy over his long career in the tactical first-person shooter. This should provide fish123 with a more experienced member who can help round them out with his skills.

“I mean, these things don’t really happen just that just overnight. We’d be paying keen attention to ScreaM, his skill level, just what he was showing to the world. He’s really one of the world’s best players, if not the best player in the world. We’ve been talking to him for some time,” Team Liquid co-founder Victor Goossens told ESPN.

Goossens also stated that Team Liquid may also be looking to form a North American Valorant team in the future. But with the game’s competitive future still somewhat up in the air, including a possible franchise model being in the works, Team Liquid has been holding back on investing overly much into the new esport.
