TSM find victory over Echo Fox after baron swing
Team SoloMid found victory against Echo Fox after an action-packed game in the second week of the 2019 LCS Spring Split.
TSM and Echo Fox took the stage early in week two looking to make a mark early in the first split of the new year. This exciting match started with a surprising Jayce pick in the bottom lane for Echo Fox.
Colin “Solo” Earnest started the action in the top lane with a double kill. From that point, Echo Fox focused its attention on the top lane to maximize their advantage, while TSM tried to find an advantage in the middle lane playing around Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg.
Back in the bottom lane, Apollo “Apollo” Price on Jayce was not able to gain a significant advantage against Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen. The early game was still a success for Echo Fox as Solo continued to shine with multiple kills across the map and a strong presence in lane, though TSM would recover during the mid-game.
At 29 minutes, it seemed like the match would go in Echo Fox’s favor. But a fight around the baron pit turned the game around.
TSM was back in the game after killing three enemies while contesting the baron. Echo Fox still had an advantage, but the unnecessary risks taken by Kim “Fenix” Jae-hun gave away further kills to TSM.
These mistakes proved the turning point in the match. The kills allowed TSM to scale more quickly and gain a significant gold advantage going into the late game.
At 33 minutes, TSM was able to ace Echo Fox and secured the baron buff. Feeling strong after flexing on their opposition, TSM marched into the enemy base and secure its second win of the split.
