RodjER splits from HellRaisers ahead of Omega League qualifiers

Hellraisers has announced that it will be parting ways with veteran Russian Dota 2 support player Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan.

“I’m grateful to my teammates and organization for everything we’ve been through. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to agree on certain things Dota-wise. I wish the guys luck and patience. I also want to thank you, our fans, for your support. It was always a pleasure to read your positive comments.”, RodjER said in a statement.

There is no word yet on where RodjER is headed, nor who his replacement on HellRaisers will be.

RodjER joined the Russian team in early March this year, replacing Georgiy “Gilgir” Svistunov. A player with experience on both the domestic and international stages, his joining the team was viewed as an important step in propelling Hellraisers to the top of the CIS Dota 2 scene.

RodjER first made a name for himself while playing for Team Empire and Effect. He became a top star of the CIS region during his time with Natus Vincere, before a mid-season trade sent him to Virtus Pro.

Together with Virtus Pro, he reached the top of competitive Dota 2. The team went on to become one of the most dominant forces the game had ever seen, winning four Dota Pro Circuit majors in 2018. He left Virtus.pro in 2019 after the team was dealt an early elimination from The International 2019.

The start of RodjER’s tenure with HellRaisers was fairly successful as the team finished third in Parimatch League Season 2. The team’s form quickly plummeted after the Dota 2 scene transitioned into an online setting.

A string of mediocre results at recent events, including ESL One Birmingham and Los Angeles showed that things weren’t quite clicking within the team. Despite the inconsistent form, the Russian support parts ways with the team on a higher note, with their last placement being third-place finish in Parimatch League Season 3.
