Dr Disrespect may have called out Twitch for unfairly targeting him

After a flurry of theories started flying surrounding Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm’s sudden permaban from Twitch, it’s become eerily silent and fans are left wondering what happened to the Two-Time.

Dr Disrespect broke his silence on June 27, claiming that he wasn’t aware of the reason Twitch permanently banned his account. Since then, Dr Disrespect hasn’t been active online aside from a few Discord sightings.

Over the following week, it remained unclear if he was permanently banned or just suspended, why he was banned, and what would happen to all of his sponsors.

Champions Club,

Twitch has not notified me on the specific reason behind their decision… Firm handshakes to all for the support during this difficult time.

Dr Disrespect allegedly breaks silence over Twitch ban during Nickmercs stream

Over the weekend, popular Fortnite controller player Nick “Nickmercs” Kolcheff reportedly got a $50 donation from a person with the name Dr Disrespect. Nickmercs admitted that he doesn’t know if it’s truly Dr Disrespect or not, but explained that the donation was written in a similar fashion to when the Two-Time donated to him in the past.

“It’s not the audio… check the records and VODS. Barely laying on a lounge chair right now. I hear everything. The ponytail is still drippin’, and the two-time never slippin’. Twitch needs a scapegoat? I ain’t even trippin’,” the donation message said.

There is still no proof that this donation was from the real Dr Disrespect, but later in the stream Nickmercs started talking about playing some games with Dr Disrespect and their friend Timothy “TimtheTatMan” Betar in the future.

If the message was from the Two-Time himself, it seems he was stating that the ban was not over the recent DMCA crackdown on Twitch, which had a lot of streamers getting banned over copyrights involving older videos. Esports insider Rod “Slasher” Breslau had already come forward to state that wasn’t the reason for the ban.

Why was Dr Disrespect banned from Twitch?

So if it’s not DMCA-related, why was Dr Disrespect banned? If the donator is indeed the streamer himself, it seems that he believes he was a “scapegoat” for Twitch. But it’s still unclear what Twitch needed a scapegoat for. But this does goes along with Doc’s narrative that he is unsure what Twitch permanently banned him for.

This still seems questionable since others close to the situation have come forward to say that the reasons Dr Disrespect were banned were “serious” and “sensitive” matters, indicating some specificity. Some have questioned if it was related to the long list of sexual allegations floating around the streaming community since Twitch stated that they would take these accusations seriously and even include law enforcement when appropriate.

Of course, this is just one of the many rumors running rampant surrounding the mystery of Dr Disrespect’s disappearance.

Dr Disrespect ban serious

Twitch’s own statement on Dr Disrespect’s ban was they would take “appropriate action” when they have proper evidence that a streamer has violated their Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. They didn’t specify what Dr Disrespect had done to deserve the permanent ban from the platform.

Twitch’s statement on @drdisrespect ban: “As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.”

For now, fans continue to wonder if the Doc will ever return to Twitch, or to social media in general. And if he does, will he ever reveal what really happened?
