These are the best CSGO practice maps to improve your game
Practice makes perfect in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, so here are three workshop maps that players can reliably use to take their game to the next level.
Deathmatching isn't the only way to get better at CSGO. With seven maps in the competitive pool, players also have to know grenade lineups, common peek angles, and a ton of other skills to become a well-rounded competitor. CSGO itself doesn't have a ton of great ways to practice these skills, but that's where the CSGO Steam Workshop comes in. Users have made incredible maps that allow players to practice important skills, and this list of three workshop maps can be downloaded right now.
Yesber's YPrac Series are CSGO's gold practice standard
Yesber has done some truly incredible things with the CSGO engine. His YPrac series has practice maps for almost all of the competitive maps, including the popular Mirage, Dust 2, and Overpass. These aren't just aim maps, either. Each map has several different practice settings that allow users to practice grenade lineups, common clearing angles, and even has a mode where the player switches sides and take peeks from different positions. The maps really are spectacular, and they can give casual and experienced players alike a better grasp on their game.
Yesber also has an aim map with a nearly endless supply of options to customize the player's practice experience. It allows users to practice difficult techniques like hitting headshots from behind, and it even allows players to choose the types of enemy models they're practicing against. The sheer variety in Yesber's maps really allows a player to dig in and work on exactly what they need to during practice.
Players can check out all of Yesber's maps on his Steam Workshop page.
DC's Aim and Movement Training CSGO map
DC's Aim and Movement training map for CSGO combines the usefulness of an aim map with a ton of extra features that can make life easier on a newer CSGO player. One of CSGO's most important mechanics to master is its movement, and this map has an entire room dedicated to helping players train while on the move. From pillars for bunny hopping to ramps for practicing CSGO's custom surf mode, Dreazc0v's map has just about everything a beginning player needs in one simple package.
DC has even included a viewmodel customizer in the map, meaning that players don't have to play around in the console to find their preferred viewmodel. WIN.gg has talked about the benefits of customizing viewmodels before, and they're an often overlooked setting that can really help player's performance in-game. DC has done everyone a favor by including it in his map, especially those just starting out in Valve's competitive first-person shooter.
Users can find DC's Aim & Movement map right here on the workshop.
uLLeticaL's Aim Botz is a classic CSGO practice map
Aim Botz is possibly the most famous of all Counter-Strike: Global Offensive practice maps. Players have seen pros compete in its built-in timed mode, and it's a favorite map for many players that want to warm up before they hop into a deathmatch server. The map is simple to use, easy to understand, and provides the perfect setting for players to hone their skills. The map's creator also has seperate maps for practicing weapon sprays, as well as a series of challenge maps, complete with timers and scoreboards.
uLLeticaL is one of the best-known map makers in CSGO, and it's easy to see why. They've worked with Betway and BLAST Entertainment to create special maps to distribute to fans, and the scripting in their maps is second to none. Aim Botz remains one of the most popular CSGO practice maps ever made, with over 14.8 million subscribers on the workshop. Players can find Aim Botz, and all of uLLeticaL's maps, on their Steam Workshop page.
