There might be a few issues within the lineup of OG’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive division.

BLAST released a short clip of the team’s in-game comms during their lower bracket showdown with Ninjas in Pyjamas. OG coach Casper “ruggah” Due can be heard during the clip trying to rally his team while imploring them to tighten up their sloppy teamwork.

“It’s really important for me to stress now, we need to be on the same page no matter what we do…we cannot be asking all the way to the position where we’re going what the fuck is going on. Be clear about what’s happening and take responsibility,” ruggah said.

OG went on to lose the series to Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-0, handing them a last-place finish in the event alongside ENCE.

It’s unclear when this direction came during the series and ruggah was measured and calm in his delivery of it. It’s hard not to hear this and read into it as a sign of potentially serious issues within the OG roster.

OG’s CSGO team has generally been a disappointment since forming in late 2019. The famed Dota 2 organization stepped into the game by signing a squad of skilled veterans and seemed poised for big things based on the combined pedigrees of those players, but their results to date have been decidedly mixed.

The team hasn’t even come close to sniffing the grand finals of a tournament and has given up wins to major underdogs on more than a few occasions. OG has been able to beat the likes of Evil Geniuses and Fnatic to show flashes of the team’s potential, but has also absorbed disastrous losses at the hands of such teams as HAVU and AGO Esports.

ruggah’s words may be able to get through to the team given how all of them have had strong careers to this point. Something needs to change with the team though, because the lack of consistency they’ve shown thus far likely isn’t going to cut it for much longer.
