After an unexpected early exit at ESL One Los Angeles Online, Team Secret bounced back and has dominated regional league play. The hot winning streak started at WePlay! BLAST Bounty Hunt offers unique tournament with bounties and initial cash prize

Top teams from Europe participated in BLAST Bounty Hunt. Team Secret, OG, Team Nigma, Team Liquid, Alliance, and Ninjas in Pyjamas vied for their share of the $100,000 prize pool and an additional $45,000 in bounties.

BLAST Bounty Hunt spiced up the tournament with a unique format. Team Secret and OG were the top two seeds and started with $20,000 each in their pockets. The two teams also entered the tournament one spot ahead of their competitors. The rest of the teams were given $15,000 each to kick off the tournament. The winning team took a slice of the opponent’s cash prize in every match.

The Bounty system also provided teams the opportunity to gain some extra cash. For $5,000, teams were tasked to take control of their own outpost or keep one teammate alive for the entire game. Alliance and Team Nigma claimed these bounties, respectively.

Not all bounties were claimed, with “Something Something Feeder” and “Drop the Dead Monkey”. Those bounties tasked teams with killing a single enemy player 20 times for $20,000, and killing nine couriers for $15,000 respectively.

Fans could also win huge prizes in the tournament with the Fan Predictions feature. Fans chose their Bounty Hunters and their predictions such as the number of kills, last hits, and many more. Each day, one grand winner received $1,500 and three winners received $250.

BLAST Bounty Hunt has provided a unique experience not just to Team Secret but also to the Dota 2 fans.
