Whether it’s a birthday, an anniversary, or any other holiday, buying a gift for the esports fan in your life can be a challenge, especially if you yourself are not into gaming to the same extent that they are.

If all of the gadgets and sophisticated pieces of tech you come across at stores and online are all the same to you, take a look at this list to save yourself some time and effort. We promise that a true esports fanatic will love all of them.

SteelSeries Arctis Pro 7

This is a gaming headset, and one of the best of its kind.

It’s wireless and can be hooked up to a variety of devices, but it also comes with a cord that can be plugged into a PC. Its drivers unleash a whole range of customization options and allow a user to tinker with the quality of their sound. The quality of the headset itself makes for some unforgettable moments in-game.

Corsair MM800 Polaris

Since your gamer friend will likely already have a mouse that they adore, why not get them a great mousepad?

The Corsair MM800 Polaris is an RGB capable mousepad, hard and wired. There is also a wireless option, but it will come with a higher price tag. The LED lights can be customized, making for a unique visual experience, and the mouse will still work even when the batteries of the pad are all out.

Razer Hunstman Elite Keyboard

This is a gaming keyboard that any gamer would love. It has an optical sensor for each of its keys, and it also comes with a mechanical switch to ensure a smooth response time. There is also some RGB lighting in there, as well as a digital dial for adjusting things like volume and brightness.

Logitech G29

While this is a slightly older model, and there are certainly newer and better racing wheels on the market, the G29 is the best all-around option for any racing fan.

It can be hooked up to different platforms, including a PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and a PC, and it can further be enhanced with the addition of a gear shifter and pedals.

Its action is smooth, and it will feel like the real thing in a player’s hands. It’s also sensitive enough and provides enough feedback to transport you directly to the track, making it a good choice even over newer and more expensive models.

Nintendo Switch

The Switch is a great way to enjoy a game without having to spend a lot of time sitting in one place. And it can be your way of telling your friend they might need to lay off the more competitive titles and try to play something a bit different as well. Why not get into Animal Crossing?

The Switch really is a marvel, packing sufficient power and functionality into a small size.

A webcam and streaming deck

If your friend is also a Twitcher or wants to get into streaming on any platform, your best bet is to get them a really good webcam, like the Logitech C922X, that will capture their reactions exceptionally well and in great resolution. This can be coupled with a stream deck like the Elgato model.

The stream deck makes switching from one screen to another quick and easy, and it’s increasingly seen as a must for any prospective Twitch star. You can throw a microphone in there as well, perhaps with a mic arm and maybe with a mixing deck, but that also might be taking it a little bit overboard for someone new to streaming.

Steam credit

If you don’t have that big of a budget, you can always get your friend some Steam credit via a gift card for the platform. That way, they can try out a game they’ve never played before, and you don’t have to spend hours researching the latest and most popular titles for them.

A blast from the past

Any esports fan will know how to appreciate the gift of authentic Pokemon gaming cards, and will likely run to their attic to dig out their very own set they used to collect when they were kids.

A new game

Of course, you can give your friend the gift of an actual game, and maybe even encourage them to move out of their comfort zone and try something that is not strictly within their bounds. An RPG can always be a fun way to pass an evening at home.

Save yourself a few dollars and look for discounts and coupons for some of the more popular websites that sell games, and consider throwing in an extra like a vintage Pac-Man title.
