PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming top their groups in OGA Dota Pit China

After finishing as top seeds in their groups, PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming secured spots in the second round of the upper bracket playoffs of OGA Dota Pit China, an event that features top Chinese teams fighting over a $60,000 prize pool.

PSG.LGD seems to have recovered from its disastrous start to the season. The team has showed great results after major roster shakeups, role swaps, and the addition of Ren “eLeVeN” Yangwei from EHOME. The decision came after several disappointing outcomes including the failure to qualify for multiple majors.

PSG.LGD was pitted against Royal Never Give Up, Team Aster, and Keen Gaming in Group A. The team kicked off the tournament with a huge win against Team Aster, despite an unconventional support Sniper pick from Xu “fy” Linsen. The team ended the group stage undefeated after a 2-1 victory over RNG and a clean sweep against Keen Gaming.

Vici Gaming’s group stage run was not as excellent. Although the team managed to secure the top seed of its group, it fell short against EHOME. Vici Gaming had a harsh welcome to the event as EHOME won the opening series. Vici Gaming came back stronger the second day and claimed a 2-0 victory against CDEC Gaming. The team knocked down Invictus Gaming in the final day and snatched the top seed of Group B.

Keen Gaming and CDEC Gaming bid their early goodbyes and exited the tournament.

PSG.LGD consistently stomped Vici Gaming in previous matchups

PSG.LGD has pulled off four consecutive victories against Vici Gaming in recent tournaments. The new PSG.LGD roster debuted at WeSave! Charity Play and finished strong by stomping Vici Gaming in 3-0 fashion and claiming the tournament title.

Vici Gaming issued a rebuttal in the ESL One Los Angeles Chinese league. PSG.LGD was handed an early exit after losing four series in the group stage.

The third showdown saw PSG.LGD face VIci Gaming in the grand final series of the China Dota 2 Professional League Season 1. PSG.LGD came out victorious after a convincing win in Game 5 to close out a nailbiter of a series.

The victories over Vici Gaming continued for PSG.LGD from there. PSG.LGD stomped Vici Gaming in a 2-0 fashion in the CDA League Season 1, China Dota 2 Professional League Season 2, and the ongoing DPL-CDA Professional League Season 1. OGA Dota Pit China might give Vici Gaming the chance to break that streak.
