T1 and DragonX will clash in round three of the playoffs in the 2020 LCK Spring split. The LCK still uses a single-elimination format, so teams only get one chance to advance in the bracket. The winner from this round is advancing to finals, where Gen.G has been waiting since the end of the regular season.

T1 vs DragonX betting analysis

T1

  • Kim “Canna” Chang-dong
  • Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan – Choi “Ellim” El-lim
  • Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
  • Park “Teddy” Jin-seong
  • Lee “Effort” Sang-ho

T1 was forced to reinvent itself in the offseason. The team lost some of its starter players and the entire coaching staff. T1 signed an assortment of rookies and veterans and respected coach Kim “Kim” Jeong-soo. Coach Kim is known for turning disjointed rosters into championship winners, so T1 trusted coach Kim to lead the team through this new era.

It became obvious soon that T1 wasn’t just playing around in spite of its new roster. The team took down strong opponents like DragonX and Gen.G, twice. In the end, T1 finished the season in second place and was seeded directly into the semifinals.

The players in the T1 roster are some of the most mechanically gifted in the LCK. At this point in the season, T1 works like a well-oiled machine and can take over the series from game one. While all of the players had a good season, rookie top laner Canna stands out. Canna joined the team back in 2019 as a trainee. Canna was promoted to the starting roster in 2020 and quickly became a star in the LCK. Despite his young age, Canna is already a dominant player in the making that will remain a force in Korea for future seasons to come.

DragonX

  • Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon
  • Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon
  • Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon
  • Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu
  • Ryu “Keria” Min-seok

In the offseason, DragonX was committed to building a new roster around Deft, its biggest star. The organization signed young prodigies leaving Griffin, Doran and Chovy. The coaching staff recruited Pyosik out of the Korean solo queue and promoted Keria. The original plan of creating a roster that could support Deft shifted, and the bottom laner found himself serving as a mentor in-game.

Through the regular season, DragonX had drastic ups and downs. The team could look dominant one week and like an absolute mess the next. Despite their potential, the players in DragonX, other than Deft, are still young and inexperienced. Pyosik in particular has rookie tendencies that make him unpredictable.

DragonX struggled in its series against Damwon Gaming and is not looking like an opponent that could challenge T1. T1 defeated DragonX two times during the regular season, so the hopes for DX in playoffs are low.

Betting odds, predictions for T1 vs. DragonX in 2020 LCK Spring Split playoffs

This series will be all about the junglers and the top laners. Doran needs to bring his A-game and stop Canna before ha have another super carry performance. Pyosik is going against Cuzz, a veteran jungler formed in the ranks of DragonX.

It won’t be the perfect 3-0. Partially because T1 likes to get a feel of its opponent before going all in. The series is likely to go the four games with DragonX winning early in the series, but T1 will take the rest. WINNERS.bet has set the odds at T1 1.40 to DragonX’s 2.70 to win.
