EPICENTER will host the first season of Epic Prime League, a new online league featuring top teams from the CIS region.

The full list of participants includes the following:

  • Virtus.pro
  • Team Spirit
  • VP.Prodigy
  • FlyToMoon
  • Winstrike Team
  • Team Unique
  • Cyber Legacy
  • B8

Virtus.pro headlines the list of participating teams, with the Russian squad loaning Igor “iLTW” Filatov from Team Spirit. iLTW has replaced Zaur “Cooman” Shakhmurzaev, who was benched after Virtus.pro’s second-place finish at Parimatch League Season 2. FlyToMoon scored a big upset over the team in the grand finals.

VP team has struggled to make a strong impression this year. The team was formerly known for its dominance in the Dota Pro Circuit, but a shockingly poor performance in The International 2019 saw the long-standing roster mostly dissolved. VP’s roster has been in a constant state of flux since, with its roster currently standing as follows:

  • Igor “iLTW” Filatov
  • Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko
  • Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok
  • Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov
  • Alexey “Solo” Berezin

Virtus.pro’s academy team, VP.Prodigy, will also participate in the event. The team had a successful debut at Parimatch League Season 2 relegation and secured a spot in the third season of the league. Epic Prime League will likely host the first matchup between the sister teams.

Danil “Dendi” Ishutin’s B8 also received a direct invite. The newly formed organization has had a shaky start since coming together, and will be looking for a bit of redemption in the Epic Prime League.

Winstrike Team, FlytoMoon, Team Spirit, Team Unique, and Cyber Legacy will also be in on the action at Epic Prime League Season 1.

The tournament will kicks off April 15, starting with a round robin stage. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs and will secure a direct invite in Epic Prime League Season 2. Teams who’ll finish in the fifth and sixth place will be forced into relegation, where they will need to fight for a spot.

The tournament boasts a total of $150,000 prize pool.
