Fear returns to pro Dota with J.Storm

Clinton “Fear” Loomis has found a new home.

The legendary Dota 2 player is joining old allies Jimmy “Demon” Ho and Park "March" Tae-won as the new support player for J.Storm. The announcement was made on the organization’s official website and confirmed by Fear on Twitter.

Between 2011 and 2016, Fear built himself a reputation as one of the best and most versatile players in Dota 2. Playing as carry, support, and captain for Evil Geniuses, he collected a number of trophies over the years and helped build EG into one of the premiere brands in all of esports.

Following The International 2016, Fear announced that he was retiring from active competition and began working as EG’s coach in the new season. He unretired following TI7 to play as EG’s mid laner, but was cut from the roster in May as the team struggled with consistency. He has popped up occasionally since, most recently playing in the open qualifiers to the Chongqing Major with a stack named Plus Ultra. But he hasn’t been able to find a steady team to play with until now.

Given how formidable J.Storm has looked to this point, it looks like this union could be a lasting one.

Fear is currently pencilled in to play in the team’s four position, replacing Milan "MiLAN" Kozomara. According to J.Storm’s statement, the Bosnian player has been released from the team and is now a free agent.

The new J.Storm is next scheduled to play at the Chongqing Major, which begins on January 19.
