Danil "Dendi" Ishutin’s newly built B8 will participate in the event. The team got off to a shaky start at the ESL One Los Angeles CIS Open qualifier and has underwhelmed in other tournaments such as WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon. This event will be another shot for the team to square off with CIS top teams in Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, and HellRaisers. Dendi is also one of the volunteer talents at WeSave! Charity Play.

The European region is by far the most anticipated event. Team Secret, Team Liquid, Nigma, and OG will fight for the region’s title.

OG will be somewhat handicapped at the event, however. OG.Seed’s carry player Omar Mohammad "Madara" Dabachach and a returning Sébastien "Ceb" Debs will replace Topias Miikka "Topson" Taavitsainen and Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng.

Meanwhile, Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan and Johan "N0tail" Sundstein are playing off-role positions. N0tail will be playing the middle lane and SumaiL will play as hard support.

Broadcast talents such as Jorien "Sheever" van der Heijden, Owen "ODPixel" Davies, Kyle "Kyle" Freedman, Ilya "Lil" Ilyuk, and Gabriel "Lyrical" Cruz volunteered to help with fundraising. These talents will hype up games for the online fans.
