It only took Valve 24 hours to deliver a significant shakeup to Dota 2’s 7.25 update.

Version 7.25a is now live, bringing a handful of changes to heroes. Though it’s only a modest shift from version 7.25, five heroes got changed for the second time in as many days.

Visage received a big change to Gravekeeper’s Cloak. The passive skill now grants a flat 80% damage resistance buff, rather than one that starts at just 32% at level one. This will give Visage a fair bit of early game tankiness, which comes after 7.25’s buffs to his attack speed and Soul Assumption ability.

Meepo, Bounty Hunter, Ursa receive nerfs in Dota 2 update 7.25a

Outside of that buff to Visage, every hero changed in Dota 2’s 7.25a update was nerfed.

The biggest nerf was delivered to Meepo. Meepo’s copies now gain only 30% of XP, rather than 40%. This is a significant hit to the hero given how much of his power revolves around his ability to quickly level up by singlehandedly farming across the entire map.

Bounty Hunter was given a few changes in version 7.25 including a new Aghanim’s Scepter upgrade that strengthens Shuriken Toss by adding a Jinada effect to the spell. Those gains seem to have been too much for Valve, because the publisher weakened his level 15 and 20 talents for those two spells as a response.

Ursa was shaken up in a big way in the 7.25 Dota 2 update, with its ultimate being reworked in a fairly significant way. There’s a debate to be had whether that was a net buff or nerf for Ursa, but 7.25a leaves no room for argument. Fury Swipes was weakened by 10% at all levels, Overpower’s cooldown was rescaled in a way that lengthens it at higher levels, and he had five movement speed points taken away.

Finally, Night Stalker’s strength gain was reduced while Void’s damage was reduced. His level 25 Hunter in the Night attack speed talent was also dropped from 110 to 100.

The full list of changes can be found on the official Dota 2 blog.
