Evil Geniuses, Fnatic, and OG Seed got their golden tickets to the Loot.Bet Dota Summit 12 event.

The tournament will happen between the StarLadder ImbaTV Minor and ESL One Los Angeles 2020. The scheduled event was squeezed in between the two Dota Pro Circuit events.

Beyond the Summit announced the first few teams who received a direct invite to the event. EG, Fnatic, and OG Seed will participate in Loot.Bet Dota Summit 12 two days before the major tournament starts.

The tournament might serve as the practice ground for EG and Fnatic before the big tournament. The downside will be that their chose play styles and drafts are publicly streamed to their opponents.

Loot.Bet Dota Summit 12 is also conveniently hosted at the studio of Beyond the Summit in Los Angeles, California. This will avoid any travel difficulties for participating teams who are also looking to compete in the major.

EG recently dominated the North America qualifier of ESL One Los Angeles. The team has managed some great placements in the previous major tournaments this season, but has repeatedly fallen short of claiming a title.

The team might build its momentum at Dota Summit 12 to finally claim a major title under its belt.

Fnatic did not have a flawless run in the Southeast Asian qualifier of ESL One Los Angeles, but still managed to take the first ticket to the major event.

OG Seed will attend its first LAN tournament

This is a highly anticipated debut event for OG Seed. The tournament will mark the first LAN event for the prodigies of the two-time TI champions.

OG Seed aims to carve out a more significant spot in the Europe scene. However, the team was often trampled by the region’s powerhouse teams during qualifiers.

Johan “N0tail” Sundstein is the current coach of OG Seed. This could potentially conflict with the schedule of the OG’s captain as OG prepares for ESL One Los Angeles.

The Dota Summit action will start on March 13 as six teams battle for a share in the $150,000 prize pool.
