Twitch personality Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm IV just scored a book deal.

The Two-Time’s over-the-top character may have gotten him in trouble in the past, like when he got a little too TMI at E3, but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming one of the most popular streamers in the world. A lot of fans have been curious about where the idea for Dr Disrespect came from and what sort of “lore” there is behind the character, which has Beahm prepping to give answers in print.

“The Champions Club demands the legend of Dr Disrespect be told,” Dr Disrespect told to The Verge. “While best read off the base of Mt. Olympus, fans worldwide will soon marvel at my history’s secrets. You’re welcome.”

The book was sold to Gallery Books, a Simon & Schuster imprint, and is going to be published in the spring 2021. According to Dr Disrespect, the memoir will be entitled “Violence. Speed. Momentum.” and will be written entirely in character.

Surprisingly, book deals are not new to the streaming world. Fortnite star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has penned a variety of books, including graphic novels and “Get Good: My Ultimate Guide to Gaming.”

But Dr Disrespect’s lore isn’t only of interest to Gallery Books. Dr Disrespect is also getting a television series based on his persona. The deal is with Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment and focuses on the “unique world” of Dr Disrespect.

“There are lots of incredibly talented streamers, but there’s something special about what Guy has done in creating this character,” Skybound CEO David Alpert said.

The show is still in its very early stages of production and there’s no release date as of this writing. But Skybound did note that the show will be about Dr Disrespect’s journey to “becoming the doctor.”

It will be interesting to see if the television show and memoir match up, and which facts will become canon.
