Dignitas and Team SoloMid clashed in the third week of the 2020 LCS Spring Split. TSM’s fans were louder and plays were cleaner, allowing them to pick up their third win of the season.

TSM’s Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett first picked jungle Sett, which Dignitas responded to with Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon taking Kennen and Henrik “Froggen” Hansen securing Vel’Koz for his crowd control tools. The game started calm, with TSM engaging in trades and Dignitas playing it safe.

Dignitas and TSM start slow in the 2020 LCS Spring Split

Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg used his teleport to push Froggen out of his lane, which allowed TSM to pick up the first Dragon. After following that up with the Rift Herald, TSM made the mistake of overextending during a fight. Huni caught Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik with a stun under the turret for the first blood.

TSM answered by grouping up, picking off Jonathan “Grig” Armao, and scoring another Dragon. The team was slowly gaining the advantage, but Dignitas was still standing strong.

As the game progressed, TSM’s draft started struggling against Dignitas’ heavy crowd control and burst damage. The teams continued going back-and-forth, with no significant advantage on either side for the first 25 minutes.

TSM finds an opening to take down DIG for a 3-2 record

TSM finally found an opening to attack DIG with a mid lane flank, and Bjergsen melted them down. Winning that fight finally allowed TSM to start pressuring the opponent away from objectives and deep into their lanes. TSM’s map control badly damaged Dignitas’ chances of a comeback.

Another teamfight broke out with the same outcome. That was all TSM needed to rush for the Nexus and completely obliterate Dignitas. This continues TSM’s rally from a rough start to the season, while Dignitas has lost almost all the momentum it gained with its early success.

Though Dignitas just recently had an undefeated streak of four games, TSM is the team that looks better positioned to defeat top-ranked Cloud9. TSM is facing off against Golden Guardians tomorrow and .
