Despite an early exit at the DreamLeague Leipzig Major, TNC Predator remains at the top of the Dota Pro Circuit rankings heading into the ESL One Los Angeles Major.

The 12 teams with the most DPC points at the end of the season will receive a direct invite to The International 2020. While there is still a lot of Dota 2 left to play, these 12 teams are currently positioned to punch a ticket to Stockholm, Sweden:

  • TNC Predator (5,300)
  • Vici Gaming (5,100)
  • Team Secret (4,850)
  • Evil Geniuses (4,350)
  • Invictus Gaming (3,000)
  • Alliance (1,800)
  • Team Liquid (1,800)
  • J.Storm (920)
  • beastcoast (720)
  • Fnatic (300)
  • Team Aster (300)
  • Fighting PandaS (210)

TNC Predator likely secured itself a spot in The International 2020 thanks to its victory in the MDL Chengdu Major. The southeast Asian team surprised fans as it showed complete dominance on the stage. The undeniable chemistry of TNC Predator’s post-TI9 roster carried them to victory against a number of formidable opponents. The team has benefited greatly from the additions of seasoned star Damien “kpii” Chok and new captain Park “March” Tae-won.

Things hit a bump when TNC Predator barely qualified for the second major. The team snatched a win against Cignal Ultra after an unresolved technical issue.

During the DreamLeague Leipzig Major, TNC Predator underperformed in its group as it failed to chalk up a win against its SEA rival Fnatic, fan favorites Nigma, and Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei’s Team Aster. The team faced a tough road in the lower bracket, which ultimately saw TNC Predator eliminated by Team Liquid in the third round for a 7th-8th-place finish.

Vici Gaming stands in second in the current Dota Pro Circuit rankings. The Chinese powerhouse is only 200 points behind TNC Predator. While TNC dipped after its strong showing in the MDL Chengdu Major, Vici Gaming looked great in Leipzig en route to a third-place finish.

Though Team Secret might not stand atop the rankings right now, the European squad still might be the best in the world. The team returned to action in the Dota Pro Circuit in Leipzig and won the tournament with a roundly excellent performance, last defeating Evil Geniuses. Team Secret claimed two major championships last season and will likely .

Evil Geniuses is in fourth after placing fourth in Chengdu and second in Leipzig. The team is in a very strong position in the DPC already, and should be able to comfortably qualify for the ESL One Los Angeles Major, where they would enter as the hometown favorite.

These four teams are likely to be near the top of the standings, regardless of how the ESL One Los Angeles Major shakes out. Still, Dota 2 fans ought to keep an eye on the qualifiers.
