Ex6TenZ retires after 15-year CSGO career, eyes coaching role

Kevin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans announced his retirement from professional Counter-Strike yesterday through a Twitlonger. His retirement makes him the second professional Frech player to retire in less than a week. On February 3, Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux decided to hang up his hat.
Players should be intimately familiar with Ex6TenZ from his long time in the scene and the well-known organizations that he captained over the years. These include some of the biggest names from the early years of CSGO, such as Very Games, Titan, and Team LDLC.
The veteran has his own special quirks, the most noticeable of which is that he controls his movement using the arrow keys instead of the widespread WSAD method.
Ex6TenZ's career was marked early on by his great success as a leader, but later he was equally known for his spats with other top French players who disliked his controlling style of leadership. Some analysts began to point to Ex6TenZ's lack of fragging ability as a hurdle for his teams, and his gradual decline starting in 2018 saw him descend from the top of the French CSGO scene.
The veteran leader moved from team to team until he decided to step away.
Despite the unceremonious ending to Ex6TenZ's career, he's always made it clear that he loves the gamem and the passion of the fans kept him coming back
"I also had the chance to play with incredibly talented players who had the same obsession, the wish to do everything in the world to win. Thanks, guys for that, it was fabulous! I can't forget the community and I salute those who have followed me since the start, or later, and I deeply thank them. I am proud of what I have done and the values that I have carried in my career," Ex6TenZ said in his statement.
The 29-year-old has aspiration to become a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive coach, and there is no shortage of teams in the world that could do much better at the position.
"I keep priceless memories and I have experienced things in and outside of the game that I never thought I would live," Ex6TenZ said.
