Gen.G, Complexity Gaming, and forZe took the final three spots at DreamHack Open Anaheim.

Gen.G defeated Choas Esports Club and Riot Squad to earn their spot at the event. With Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand finally in the server, Gen.G’s long-awaited roster rolled through the closed qualifiers with ease to snag their first tournament spot this year.

The squad only lost a single map, thanks in part to a tremendous performance from BnTeT. The former TYLOO player led Gen.G with 95.5 average damage per round and a 1.28 rating against Chaos EC and posted similar stats against Riot Squad.

He was second only to former Cloud9 rifler Will “RUSH” Wierzba, who also performed well in the closed qualifiers, clutching out several rounds for Complexity. The team only dropped a single map in the playoffs on their way to the second spot.

Across the pond, forZe took down Team Heroic 2-0 in the finals of Anaheim’s European closed qualifiers and took the last of Europe’s slots for the tournament. forZe outclassed Heroic’s Casper “cadiaN” Møller through the two maps to take the

Gen.G, Complexity, and forZe join FURIA, MIBR, ENCE, North, and Endpoint to round the attendees for DreamHack Open Anaheim. The $100,000 tournament takes place in Anaheim, California and runs from February 21 to February 23.
