German esports organization Sprout is reportedly in talks with ex-mousesports AWPer Tomáš “oskar” Šťastný to join their CSGO roster. The AWPer most recently competed for HellRaisers before being benched in September. He officially split from the organization and became a free agent in October.

Per DBLTAP‘s Jarek Lewis, oskar is being looked at to potentially fill the AWP role that might be opened up by the departure of Florian “syrsoN” Rische. SyrsoN is rumored to be moving to BIG alongside teammate Nils “k1to” Gruhne. As part of the move, BIG will transfer or bench both Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş and Owen “smooya” Butterfield.

If true, it is unclear where the two current BIG players would go. In a tweet on December 21, Smooya hinted that some sort of change was inbound for him, adding some extra credibility to the rumors.

Oskar had performed well under HellRaisers

Oskar returned to HellRaisers in March 2019 after nearly three years with mousesports organization. The Czech AWPer hasn’t played a professional Counter-Strike match since August 19.

If oskar does move to Sprout, he would reunite with former mousesports teammate Tiimo “Spiidi” Richter, who recently helped Sprout take home first place at ESL Meisterschaft: Winter 2019 over ALTERNATE aTTaX 2-0. With the win, Sprout also earned a spot in DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 as part of the ESL Pro Tour Challenger “Road to Katowice.”

Oskar was once considered a top-tier AWPer within the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene but fell off once removed from the mouz roster. His time with HellRaisers has been unproductive despite his own decent performance.

Oskar performed well during his last match with the HellRaisers organization against Team Vitality, posting a respectable 1.20 rating. He was statistically the third-best player on the server, behind Vitality’s Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and former Vitality member Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt.

The reported moves are less impactful at the top of the CSGO ladder, where neither Sprout nor HellRaisers have found themselves very often. HellRaisers has seen several of its players signed by other teams in the past year. The team loaned former Gambit Esports player Abay “Hobbit” Khasenov to Winstrike Team in October.

That same month, Christian “loWel” Garcia Antoran was picked up by Movistar Riders. In early December, another HellRaisers member departed when Issa “ISSAA” Murad made the move to OG’s inaugural CSGO lineup.
