Riot Games has announced the Rise of the Elements Invitational to celebrate the launch of TFT Set 2.

On October 30 and 31, 16 of the most popular streamers from around the world will compete in the Rise of the Elements Invitational. The competition commemorates the launching of TFT Set 2 that is scheduled to go live with patch 9.22.

Rise of the Elements, the next era of TFT

William “Scarra” Li, G2 Esports’ Rumay “Hafu” Wang, Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang, Team Liquid’s Rafael “Rakin” Knittel, and Team SoloMid’s Jang “Keane” Lae-young are some of the streamers competing at the Rise of the Elements Invitational.

16 players will be divided into two groups of eight. Each group will compete in five rounds, and the players will earn points based on their standings in every game played. The top four from each group will advance to day two, when the players are competing until one of them gets three wins.

The event starts at 9 am PDT, 11 am CST. Fans can enjoy the main broadcast on either YouTube or Twitch with interviews, analysis, and will have a chance to earn a mystery in-game emote.

The Rise of the Elements Invitational is the biggest TFT event organized to date. The winner of the invitational will receive $15,000 and a custom jacket. Players that advance to day two will get $10,750 each, and those that placed ninth through sixteenth are walking away with $7,500 each.

It will be a taste of the competitive scene that Riot Games has announced for 2020. The developer has an opportunity to test the audience’s interest and how exactly to deliver the best show for Teamfight Tactics.

TFT was released back in June and quickly became an internet sensation with many streamers taking on the new League of Legends game mode. The mode has quickly amased a loyal fanbase that is begging for a competitive scene. According to Riot Games, TFT has 33 million monthly players right now.

The Rise of the Elements Invitational can be enjoyed on Riot Games’ official channels or on each streamer’s individual channel.
