UK Twitch streamer Dimitri “Greekgodx” Antonatos has a lot of followers and a lot of opinions. And Twitch doesn’t seem to like all of them.

Greekgodx has amassed more than 900,000 followers by streaming Grand Theft Auto V, Fortnite, and League of Legends. But it was an IRL stream that got Greekgodx banned from the platform.

The streamer made a joke about SoundCloud’s gender options that appeared to go against Twitch’s community guidelines.

“Anybody go make a SoundCloud account and wait for the options where it says gender. You will fucking omegalul,” he began. He then pointed out that the website allows you to pick between male, female, other, and prefer not to say.

“Imagine having other and prefer to not say, what cucks are they fucking catering to now… If you put ‘other,’ they should say, sorry, SoundCloud is not for you,” Greekgodx continued.

He then said that SoundCloud was “catering to cucks” by having those options.

On Twitter, Greekgodx confirmed with his followers that his account was banned for those comments. While he called them “silly,” Greekgodx did go on to apologize.

“I just wanted to say it was a joke and I’m really sorry to anyone I offended. I didn’t mean to be hurtful or hateful. I’ll update you guys on how long the ban is for when I can,” Greekgodx tweeted.

Greekgodx’s unclear future on Twitch

Many of his fans stood up for him on Twitter, responding that they’d support him upon his return and that he shouldn’t apologize for “being right.” Even though his fans have accepted his apology, it’s unclear what his future on Twitch will be.

Other streamers have been banned permanently for similar comments. According to Twitch’s community guidelines, “hateful conduct” is forbidden.

Even if Greekgodx’s account isn’t permanently banned, it’s possible that his account will be suspended for longer than usual since it’s not his first offense. Greekgodx is not new to Twitch controversy.

In 2017, Greekgodx received a 72-hour ban for pretending to abuse his girlfriend.

In the clip, Greekgodx leaves the stream in the middle of a PlayerUnknown’s Battleground match to imitate beating up his girlfriend off screen. Viewers can hear him grunting as he pretends to hit her, and his girlfriend starts fake crying.

Even though it wasn’t real, the insensitive moment ended up getting Greekgodx banned for three days.

“Got a 72 hour ban for fake abuse against my girlfriend. It was my fault and it was bad taste in humor. I’m sorry if I offended anyone,” he tweeted

Greekgodx then promised to “tone it down.”
