Overwatch League All-Star Weekend
The top competitors in the Overwatch League will gather at Blizzard Arena once again for the inaugural Overwatch League All-Star Weekend.
The All-Star weekend will feature the creme of the crop of OWL talent. These elite talents will be voted in by fans as starters for teams of the respective Pacific and Atlantic Divisions. Teams will be drafted to each side depending on which team they played for in the first season of the Overwatch League.
While rosters for the competition have yet to be confirmed, a few players can consider their tickets already punched. New York Excelsior stars Park “Saebyeolbe” Jong-Ryeol and Bang “Jjonak” Sung-hyeon will make the team, and they probably won’t be alone. Scott “Custa” Kennedy’s leadership propelled the Los Angeles Valiant to a definitive “best in the west” status. Kim “Geguri” Se-yeon’s enormous popularity and equal playing ability should be more than enough to secure her a starting spot as well.
The format of the Overwatch League All-Star Weekend will feature a multitude of game modes and plenty of fanfare kicking off the festivities. The Pacific and Atlantic All-Star Teams will play a best-of-5 match on Sunday.
The Dennis “INTERNETHULK” Hawelka Award will be presented for the first time during halftime of the series, honoring the player who had the most positive impact in the community in honor of the late legend.
