Ninja calls out haters who want him to stop playing World of Warcraft

Olivia R. September 8, 2019

Fortnite streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins had a little fun at the expense of his haters in a recent stream.

While playing World of Warcraft Classic with Tim "TimTheTatman" Betar, Ninja entertained his viewers by pretending to be a news correspondent. Complete with helicoptor noises, Ninja began to lightheartedly mock some of his fans who don't seem happy with his recent WoW content, also known as "asshat haters."

"As you can see, we have a bunch of weird 12 year olds just wondering why he's not playing Fortnite, as if they're being forced to watch him play World of Warcraft. It's just a mess out here, Jordan," Ninja joked.

Ninja began playing World of Warcraft with Tim shortly after the game's launch. This came as a shock to many fans, since Ninja spends the vast majority of his time on-camera playing Fortnite.

While some fans were disappointed with Ninja's choice to vary his streaming content, others were more understanding. Many pros have been switching to other games after the release of Season X. Minecraft and WoW became many popular streamers' games of choice, thanks in part to the overpowered B.R.U.T.E. mech.

The B.R.U.T.E. has been nerfed since, and its drop rate has been greatly reduced, but it doesn't seem like pros will be happy until the destructive bot is taken out of competitive modes. Many became frustrated with Epic Games when the developer noted that their reason for keeping the B.R.U.T.E. in competitive modes was to give less-skilled players a chance to get some eliminations. This didn't sit right with pro players like Ninja who spend hours each day grinding to get better.

Other players decided to leave Fortnite when Epic announced a turbo building nerf. This has since been reversed, since it threatened to change how many pros play the game entirely.
