100 Thieves is bringing Twitch’s favorite Yasuo one-trick aboard as its first League of Legends content creator.

The organization announced the signing of Moe “Yassuo” Abdalrhman on Twitter.

“Yassuo began his streaming career in 2015 and has grown to be one of the biggest League of Legends personalities in the scene today. We’re beyond excited to welcome him to 100 Thieves,” 100 Thieves said.

Fans speculated that something was going on between Yassuo and 100 Thieves prior to the reveal. The 100 Thieves YouTube channel had subscribed to both Yassuo’s main and secondary channel shortly before the announcement. Yassuo had also been meeting with several members of the group including CEO Matt “Nadeshot” Haag who posted a video alongside him a week prior.

The reveal that Yassuo is joining 100 Thieves was celebrated through a comedic video where the Twitch streamer pitches himself to the organization through multiple disingenuous endorsements from other members of 100 Thieves.

Yassou posted an AMA thread on the 100 Thieves subreddit following the big announcement. Although Yassou is joining the organization as a content creator, one user asked what his competitor name would be if he were to represent 100 Thieves in the LCS.

“100T Moe, def don’t want a champion name in LCS, nor do I think Riot would, but 100T Moe sounds clean,” Yasuo said.

Yassuo is a multiple season challenger-tier player who mains LoL’s unforgiven samurai, much like his name implies. He has approximately 1.7 million Mastery Points with Yasuo. He has become popular for his skills with the character as well as his toxic in-game behavior.

100 Thieves has been signing more content creators this year than ever before. The team has signed six new streamers over the past four months including popular Fortnite player Jack “CouRageJD” Dunlop.

100 Thieves now has content creators in League of Legends, Call of Duty, and Fortnite with the addition of Yassuo to their team.
