Fortnite pros don’t like the B.R.U.T.E. But they sure love to hate it.

Twitch streamer Jack “CouRage” Dunlop rage quit in yesterday’s Twitch Rivals Fortnite Showdown after being targeted by an opponent using the B.R.U.T.E. mech. Before the fateful encounter, which left CouRage banging on his desk, he had been avoiding the mechs along with his teammate, Tim “TimTheTatman” Betar.

“What are the odds?” he yells in agony. “Why the fuck are they a fucking thing, dude?”

CouRage took to Twitter to continue voicing his opinion on the new addition to the game.

“Does this not INFURIATE anyone else?!” CouRage asked. “I don’t know what to do. My brain can’t comprehend how this is approved on any scale by anyone. I setup for an entire game and we get surrounded by three mechs.”

But that’s not where his ranting ended.

Speaking with TimTheTatman, CouRage further ranted about how the B.R.U.T.E. makes his “blood boil.”

“I talked to so many people at Epic about so many things and they get me so excited. And then they do this, bro. There’s no actual reasoning behind this,” CouRage said.

Fortnite players continue to hate on the B.R.U.T.E. mech

While remaining a bit more calm, TimTheTatman did agree with his teammate. He also completely understood when CouRage apologized for leaving the competition, who just couldn’t seem to bring himself to play Fortnite anymore.

“I’m off this fucking game. I love this game so much. But how incompetent is this decision?” CouRage said, speaking to developer Epic Games’ insistence on keep the mech in the game.

Other competitive players had similar sentiments when Epic first made a statement as to why they decided to keep the B.R.U.T.E. in Arena and tournaments. According to developers, they hoped that the overpowered mech would even the playing field, which pros felt was unfair to those that had grinded to become as good as they are now.

After apologizing to TimTheTatman, CouRage decided to play Minecraft instead. This is a game that the Twitch streamer has settled upon quite often during Fortnite’s frustrating Season X.
