The first week of the Fortnite Champion Series Trios has come to a close, and some familiar names are on the leaderboards.

World Cup Solo winner Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, who competed in the North America East server, has secured a spot in stage two by placing fourth with his squad. Popular streamers Crimz and Clix took first in the same server with their partner.

Team Liquid had Cented on the board with a first-place finish in North America West. 100 Thieves also snagged some day two finishes on the same server with Arkhram1x and Kyzui, the latter of whom was partnered with Cloud9’s Snow.

FaZe Clan’s Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson, Atlantis’ Dmitri “Mitr0” van de Vrie, and NRG Esport’s David “BenjyFishy” Fish finished second in Europe.

The Fortnite Champion Series Trios’ first weekend also marked the debut of the Middle East server. Officially announced earlier in August, the new server offers a better experience for players in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and India.

The other regions that competed in the first weekend were Brazil, Oceania, and Asia. North America East, West, Europe and Brazil had eight trios move onto stage two. Asia, Oceana, and the Middle East had four trios secure stage two invites.

The trio teams that failed to qualify still earned Series Points. If they can position themselves among the top teams in their region by the fifth week, they will have the chance to advance into the tournament’s second stage as well.

It’s still early in the competition that carries a $10 million prize pool. At the conclusion of Round 3 of the Weekly, Europe’s highest ranking team will receive $96,000. North America East’s top trio will get $60,000, and $24,000 will go to North America West. Brazil will see the same amount. Asia, OCE, and the top team in the Middle East will receive $12,000.
