erkaSt set to leave Grayhound Gaming after StarLadder Major

The StarLadder Major will be Erdenetsogt "erkaSt" Gantulga's final tournament with Grayhound Gaming

The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team took to Twitter to explain the dire situation. After being on the roster for two years, erkaSt was unable to obtain a Visa to live in Australia, either permanently or temporarily. Originally from Mongolia, he'd been residing in Australia as a student and professional CSGO player up until this point.

"It pains me to no end to write that Erk will be leaving Grayhound after this Major," wrote William "MrGrayhound" Gray. "Thanks to his guidance and knowledge of the local CSGO scene, and my trust in him from the beginning, we have only gone from strength to strength to strength."

erkaSt has been part of the Australian team since they signed him and the rest of the ex-Immunity roster in June 2017. Over the years, erkaSt was responsible for helping Grayhound compete in many international events, including two majors. Grayhound was also able to win at the ZEN League Season 2 Finals and the Asia Minor in Berlin.

"It's been a long ass fucking journey to get to where we are now. Once upon a time, we lived in a world where we would have drinks at a 'boot camp' for a far too distant from memory LAN, discussing potential roster changes to now, sitting in Sweden, boot camping for our second Major," MrGrayhound fondly recalled.

A few days before this announcement, there were rumors spreading around that erkaSt wanted to create his own all-Mongolian team after the major. The allegedly planned team would include Gan-Erdene "dobu" Batbold and Batbayar "Kabal" Bat-Enkh, and some domestic fans in Mongolia have called the squad a potential dream team for the region.

"It's not over yet, as we have one last mission: The Major. We will all give it our best and go out with a bang. We'll always be friends, no matter what," MrGrayhound said.
