Coca Cola selling exclusive LoL-themed bottles in Turkey

League of Legends merch is getting better by the year.

Coca Cola has released a set of League of Legends-themed bottles in Turkey. The drinks featuring the images of champions like Irelia, Lucian, Lee Sin, Vayne, Yasuo, Blitzcrank, Kayn, and many others hit the shelves of a number of major convenience stores in the country.

The League of Legends-themed bottles include an exclusive code that can be used in-game to acquire one Hextech chest, with a key to open it.

One Hextech chest might include a skin shard, a champion shard, an emote, a ward skin shard, or a summoner icon. Players can turn any of the shards into a permanent champion or skin using blue and orange essence.

The Hextech chest and keys sell for 125 RP each, equivalent to $2.50. That makes buying a bottle of Coca Cola cheaper than buying RP directly in the game.

This is not the first time that Coca Cola has launched limited edition League of Legends-themed products. The company previously released a series of cans in South Korea.

League of Legends-themed products are popular in Asia, especially in China and South Korea. Back in 2015, KFC stores in China included a League of Legends menu. Said menu also included in-game rewards for customers.

For a brief period of time, the League of Legends Chinese server had a KFC button in the client. Players could order food through the game and wait for the delivery while they played. The menu included items that could be consumed with one hand so players didn’t have to interrupt their games. KFC currently sponsors the LPL and popular team Royal Never Give Up.

This is the latest example of Coca Cola aggressively expanding its presence in esports. In addition to releasing various promotional products, the soft drink also serves as one of the main sponsors of the Overwatch League.
