Vexed Gaming just announced a partnership with Italian sportswear brand Kappa.

The partnership will have Vexed Gaming’s players wearing Kappa apparel, both casually and while competing. The team wear and leisure wear will be available to purchase in September.

Vexed Gaming chief gaming officer Mark Weller called Kappa’s first venture into esports a “step for the community and the industry.” He went on to call Kappa an iconic brand that has an individual style that gamers all over the world will enjoy.

“We are thrilled that, of all the teams in the world, Kappa has selected Vexed Gaming to show their support of esports teams and engage with the wider gaming community,” Weller said.

Kappa UK’s sports marketing executive Joe Pilato was also excited by the new partnership. He stated that Vexed Gaming shares the clothing company’s goals of reaching “personal excellence,” thanks to the esport community’s passion.

“These attributes are inherent to Vexed Gaming and we are delighted to make our official entry into esports by supporting the aspirations and motivations of such a dynamic, motivated and talented organization,” Pilato said.

Based out of Manchester, England, Vexed Gaming is most known for their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team. They were acquired by Cooldown Ventures earlier this summer.

This partnership seems to be part of an emerging trend in esports. In June, FILA partnered with Counter Logic Gaming. Nike has been involved with FURIA. For many organizations, it’s not just about jerseys anymore. FlyQuest recently dropped a women’s streetwear line, showing that fashion has an important place in the esports industry.
