The TI8 main event bracket is set
The group stage of The International 2018 wrapped up on Saturday night and with that the brackets have been set for the tournament’s playoffs.
Wykrhm Reddy revealed the opening matchups for the TI8 main event and there are a lot of interesting games already set.

The upper bracket kicks off with a trio of North America vs. Europe matches in OpTic Gaming vs. Team Liquid, VGJ.Storm vs. OG, and Evil Geniuses vs. Team Secret. The fourth is an compelling tilt between two of the favorites to win TI8, Virtus Pro and PSG LGD.
The lower bracket will kick off with four best-of-ones that will send each of the losers home. Two of these are sure to be heartbreaking regional showdowns with Mineski facing TNC Predator in and China’s VGJ Thunder taking on its former sister team Vici Gaming. Outside those matches, Fnatic plays Team Serenity and Newbee will go against Winstrike.
Invictus Gaming and PaiN Gaming were both eliminated from the tournament after finishing their groups in last place.
The TI8 playoffs will begin with Team Liquid vs. OpTic Gaming. The full tournament will be broadcast live on Twitch. and through the Dota 2 game client.
