Team Liquid and Cloud9 coaches Jang “Cain” Nu-ri and Bok “Reapered” Han-gyu drafted their North American dream teams.

On InvenGlobal’s the “Reapered Show,” the coaches had a chance to sit down and discuss the state of the LCS. One of the sections was the “Have it My Way Draft” where they both got the opportunity to draft their LCS dream teams. Both coaches took part, with the only rule being that Cloud9 and Liquid were off limits.

Reapered’s draft

Cloud9’s coach started his draft with mid laner Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg.

“To me, the mid lane has to be strong to form a good team. There are other many good players, but there isn’t any player with as much experience as Bjergsen. In that matter, I think he’s No.1 in NA,” explained Reapered.

In the support role, Reapered drafted Andy “Smoothie” Tan. They previously worked together in Cloud9 before he was transferred to Echo Fox and both coaches agreed that Smoothie is a really good player that has been on the rise.

The third pick was the “hot rookie,” top laner Omran “V1per” Shoura. To Reapered, V1per has the ability to carry and has extremely high potential for such a young player. In the jungle, Reapered pick another FlyQuest player in Lucas “Santorin” Larsen.

Reapered closed his draft with an interesting pick, Clutch Gaming’s Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon.

“Huni has the style of playing when you see him build items and stuff, he’s not meant to be a top laner. With his style, he should have become an ADC or a mid laner. In my opinion, if Huni transitions to ADC, he’ll be very successful,” said Reapered.

Cain’s draft

Team Liquid’s coach started his dream team with former World Champion Bae “Bang” Jun-sik.

“The player in the best form in the LCS, his ability to carry has been remarkable. It’s not that easy to carry a team as an ADC, but Bang is doing that,” Cain said.

His second choice was Golden Guardians’ jungler Juan “Contractz” García. Reapered pointed out the difference between Contractz’s style and Jake “Xmithie” Puchero.

“In our team, Xmithie is a scaling jungler. He prefers team fights after level 6. Although he’s good at other things. I had the thought of having an aggressive jungler,” Cain explained.

Cain picked two more 100 Thieves players, in the support role Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black and Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho as the top laner.

For his final pick, Cain drafted former Team Liquid mid laner Eugene “Pobelter” Park.

“Although he’s stuttering a bit right now, he’s a player that’s really smart on macro,” Cain pointed out. He also explained that an experienced player like Pobelter would synergize very well with an aggressive jungler like Contractz.
