Sven “Svennoss” Edelenbosch has called out The Fornite Guy for the misinformation he’s been spreading in his YouTube videos.

Competitive Fortnite player Svennoss tweeted out a Reddit comment highlighting many wrongdoings of popular YouTuber Mykal, better known as The Fortnite Guy. The Fortnite Guy’s YouTube channel focuses on covering recent news and controversies in the Fortnite community, and it is through the channel that he has allegedly been intentionally spreading conspiracies, false allegations, and general misinformation.

The Fortnite Guy is accused of twisting words and not fact-checking included information so that he could rush the uploads of new videos and make “fast money” from the associated drama while ignoring its consequences. Svennoss had harsh words for the practice, telling The Fortnite Guy that he’s trying to make money by using the unfortunate situations of others, sometimes even worsening their situations by spreading unchecked information.

The accusation also mentions previous wrongdoings and a love for drama in the Overwatch community. One such instance is his coverage of Hyeon “EFFECT” Hwang’s mental problems, in which when he was accused of profiting from EFFECT’s personal health difficulties.

EFFECT is an ex-competitive Overwatch player who has since retired due to issues with mental health.

The Fortnite Guy’s channel even caught FaZe Clan’s attention a few months ago when news of Turner “Tfue” Tenney’s lawsuit broke. The Fortnite Guy first shared a video talking about Tfue being caught in a lie by FaZe, only to change the story around three days later.

In his TwitLonger, Svennoss states that The Fortnite Guy isn’t welcome in either the Overwatch or Fortnite communities as he’s proven himself to be a negative influence with a young audience that is likely to believe in his words.

The Fortnite Guy has defended his uploads and shares by saying that those against it aren’t truly familiar with his channel and that his videos are often misinterpreted. He recently tweeted that he and Svennoss have spoken in private, and though they have different opinions, they now understand each other’s points of view.
