The Philadelphia Fusion have announced through their official Twitter that they will be holding open tryouts for the Overwatch League team entering next season.

Any player with a peak Skill Rating over 4300 can try out for the team by filling out a provided form. Submission of the form does not guarantee an in-game tryout, and it is up to the coaching staff to pick players who have a real shot at making the team.

The Philadelphia Fusion finished Season 1 as runners-up behind the London Spitfire. The team’s record at the end of the season was 24-16, landing them in sixth place overall. The Fusion University has been on a strong win streak and will play Team Envy in the upcoming Contenders Grand Finals.

The majority of the team’s players got to play during Season 1, with Gael “Poko” Gouzerch and Joona “Fragi” Laine being subbed out for the majority of Stage 4 after Sado was made available. Support players Jeong-Hwan “DayFly” Park and Joseph “Joemeister” Gramano rarely saw the stage.

The Overwatch League is currently in the signing window for players already contracted by teams and for Contenders League players until September 9, when the inaugural season contracts end. After September 9, Overwatch expansion teams can sign any free agent, and beginning October 8 the free agent window opens for all teams.

While teams are required to have at least eight contractually signed players on roster by December 1, the Philadelphia Fusion currently has 12 players whose contracts can be negotiated for up to three years.
