Wind and Rain may not have qualified for The International 2018, but the players seem to have enjoyed the experience enough to largely stick together.

On Saturday, support player Milan “MiLAN” Kozomara revealed that he would continue playing alongside Lee “Forev” Sang-Don and Jonathan Bryle “bryle” Santos De Guia this season. Additionally, WaR coach Park “March” Tae-Won will return to active competition while David “Moo” Hull has come aboard from CompLexity Gaming.

Wind and Rain first popped up in the summer, bringing together a group of North American and European free agents for the express purpose of qualifying for TI8. Despite its sudden appearance, the lineup turned out to be a strong one, advancing to the grand finals of the EU qualifiers before falling to eventual tournament winner OG.

Despite not being star-studded, the squad is talented, experienced, and positioned to compete in almost any region it so desires. This fact was acknowledged by Milan, who indicated that the team is not yet certain where it will settle down.

The upside for this team hinges on both chemistry and how quickly March can return to form after more than two years out of active competition. While the flexibility to change locales is great, nowhere outside South America is shallow enough that the team can reasonably expect to find quick success.

It’s unclear where the unnamed team will be competing, though North America is the most likely landing spot.
