Kindrd and Misery lead the charge for South American Dota
South America’s best team during the 2017-2018 Dota Pro Circuit season is mostly sticking together.
Danylo "Kingrd" Nascimento announced that his team, which competed in 2018 under the PaiN Gaming banner, will largely remain intact. It will not, however, be competing for PaiN next season. He announced the news on Twitter:
Entering the year as one of a group of mediocre teams in South America, PaiN established itself as the region’s best as the months rolled by, with the turning point being the addition of former Digital Chaos mid player Aliwi "w33" Omar. Though it didn’t have great success at LAN tournaments, with the highlight of its year being a third-place finish at ESL One Birmingham, it consistently managed to qualify for tournaments.
Set to return to South America with a similar lineup, the sole change being veteran captain Rasmus "MISERY" Filipsen replacing Heitor "Duster" Pereira, fans can reasonably expect the team to quickly reassert itself as among the best in the region.
At this time, the team has no sponsor and is yet to be given a definitive name. Meanwhile, it is unclear what is next for the PaiN Gaming organization, who have stuck around fielding predominant Brazilian teams for some time.
