After suffering through a wave of departures, CompLexity Gaming has pulled together a compelling new Dota 2 roster.

The new lineup was revealed on Twitter by Wykhrm Reddy. Joining the returning Zakari "Zfreek" Freedman and Linus "Limmp" Blomdin are Rolen Andrei Gabriel "Skemberlu" Ong, Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu, and Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao.

It’s an intriguing lineup for the North American staple.

EternalEnVy will be playing a support role on the team. Dating all the way back to his time with the first iteration of Cloud9, EE has attempted to take on captain duties as a core, rather than from the traditional 4 or 5 support positions. It will be interesting to see both how he plays as support and whether his in-game leadership improves as a result of the move.

Second, this marks a huge opportunity for Skemberlu and Sneyking. Though there is a large experience difference between the two, CompLexity is one of the most enduring organizations in Dota 2. Both have been journeymen throughout their Dota 2 careers and now have the chance to settle into a lasting home.

The team presents tremendous upside as it brings together four established veterans and an interesting new talent in Skemberlu. That said, there are a number of variables in play both within the team and in the North American region as a whole, making it tough to guess how it will fare once the competitive season begins.

The first big challenge for the team comes in two weeks’ time in the Kuala Lumpur Major qualifiers.
