TNC Predator and Fnatic have earned a pair of coveted slots at the most anticipated Dota 2 tournament of the year.

As expected, TNC Predator and Fnatic dominated SEA region’s best teams in the SEA Qualifier for The International 2018. The field of teams featured a number of up-and-coming squads, including TNC Tigers, Entity Gaming, and Battle Arena Elites.

The result of the group stage affirmed the SEA region’s hierarchy. TNC Predator, TNC Tigers, Fnatic, and Entity Gaming emerged victoriously and advanced to the playoffs.

Fnatic secured the first slot. After a shaky beginning to the qualifier that included a 4-3 group stage record, the team managed to recover and earn a slot in the playoffs. Their play during the playoffs was a far cry from what they showed in the group stage, as Jack “EternalEnVy” Mao’s side smoothly finished the playoffs with a clean 2-0 sweep in each series played.

Meanwhile, TNC Predator had impressed in the group stage, finishing on top of the standings with an impressive 6-1 record. But the team would have a harder fought road to tread in the playoffs. A loss to Fnatic put their TI8 tickets at risk. After a tight deciding game against sister team TNC Tigers, the Predators side pushed their way through to the year’s richest esports event.

Fnatic and TNC Predator will join direct invite Mineski as they each aim to be the first team from the SEA region to win the Aegis of Champions at The International.
