100 Thieves has announced the addition of jungler Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneider to its roster.

Amazing will be the team’s new starter heading into the LCS Summer Split.

“We’re excited to bring his veteran experience, leadership, and voice to the team!” 100 Thieves said on Twitter

The organization noted his two World Championship appearances during his seven years playing League of Legends competitively across North America and Europe. Some of his recent results include a second-place finish in the EU Regional Finals as part of FC Schalke 04 in the fall of 2018, and another second-place finish with the same team at the EU LCS Summer Playoffs just a week before.

With Amazing becoming the new starter for 100 Thieves, it’s unclear if their former starting jungler Andy “AnDa” Hoang will be staying with the team.

Either way, the addition of Amazing represenets a needed change for 100 Thieves after the team’s disappointing performance in the LCS this year. League of Legends analysts and fans speculated that 100 Thieves would be a top contender in North America after the team signed mid laner Choi “huhi” Jae-hyun and AD carry Bae “Bang” Jun-sik, but the team never came together.

100 Thieves finished in last place in the LCS Spring Split with a dismal 4-14 record.

Fans expect to see Amazing step up as a leader, being vocal in-game and making smart calls during the team’s summer schedule. Next split, Amazing will be competing with Bang, Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho, Max “Soligo” Soong, and Zaquri “aphromoo” Black.
