Virtus.pro finds replacement for TOAO in new player Vegi
Virtus.pro has found a new fifth man for its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster.
Vegi is a fresh face on a veteran Virtus.pro team. The player first popped up in professional CS:GO in 2017 competing in various European regional events. He found a steady home in Polish esports organization PACT, playing with them throughout 2018.
He was officially brought into the Virtus.pro fold in early April as a stand-in for the Kalashnikov Cup 2. He continued playing with the team as Virtus.pro’s schedule became more hectic, competing at events like the VulkanBet Invitational and Winners League Season 2. The team evidently liked him enough to bring him aboard indefinitely.
But while the team may enjoy playing with Vegi, their recent struggles haven’t turned around just yet.
Despite being one of the most storied brands in CS:GO, Virtus.pro has struggled mightily over the last 18 months. The team quickly washed out of the ELEAGUE Major: Boston, which prompted a series of roster changes that saw almost every member of its legendary squad released. Those troubles have resulted in Virtus.pro going from being a staple of top CS:GO events to a regular disappointment in the open qualifiers.
With Vegi joining, Virtus.pro now has a full roster that includes tenured players Paweł "byali" Bieliński and Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski, as well as more recent additions Michał "MICHU" Müller and Michał "snatchie" Rudzki. The team has been very active over recent weeks, so expect to see the Polish side in action throughout the spring season.
