100 Thieves streamer Ashley “BrookeAB” Bond has decided to share details about the stalking experience that made her take a break from streaming.

In July, the popular content creator stepped away from the spotlight after she received troubling threats targeting BrookeAB and her family.

“I’ve always tried to maintain a positive atmosphere in my stream and have never intentionally tried to hurt anybody so I’m not sure what I did to make this group of people angry with me,” BrookeAB told her fans. “All threats are being taken seriously and the authorities will be contacted.”

I am so grateful for those who support me and show me kindness everyday! It really helps me get through the hard stuff. Unfortunately…. pic.twitter.com/mi7MHo80P9

Over this past weekend, BrookeAB decided to share some updates on the situation in a TwitLonger. She told her followers that there was a “major break” in the case thanks to the help of FBI, law enforcement, and a team of international forensic online security experts. Several of the “most vile defenders,” who threatened to dox her family and wished death upon her loved ones, were identified and interviewed. They are now being closely monitored.

“Like countless women in gaming and frankly, too many people around the world, for the last year, I have been targeted by a handful of online stalkers and abusers that did, and continue to do, everything in their power to hurt me and those who support me with threats of murder, arson, bodily harm, job loss, and the most horrific threats you can imagine,” BrookeAB wrote.

BrookeAB reminded stalking victims that they are not helpless. She decided to start working on a program with her team to help people who are experiencing online abuse in an attempt to “change the gaming culture forever.” While stalking victims may feel violated and attacked, BrookeAB wanted them to know they can fight for and protect one another. The exact details of the program will be announced in the near future.

“We must all work together to change an online culture that allows this level of hate to impact us and our new project will do just that,” she said.

BrookeAB thanked her friends, family, and fans for supporting her throughout the abuse. She said their support “means the world” to her.

“I love and appreciate everyone, especially those people and brands willing to fight for positive change and take a stand against the abuse. My fellow female streamers and I will share more details soon, until then, let’s stand for each other, call out the hate, and put an end to the cowards, together!” BrookeAB concluded.

For now, BrookeAB is happy to be streaming once again. She told her Twitter followers that she feels determined as she heads into the next chapter of her life.
