NaVi took a tough loss to longtime rival Team Spirit in the third round of the BLAST Austin Major group stage, but it has the chance to take a playoffs spot by beating G2.

Top pick NaVi map 1 winning margin 2-4
Betting favorite NaVi

G2 Esports has had a messy 2025 this year with multiple roster changes. By comparison, NaVi has been punching the clock and getting results with the same five players since 2023. These two teams will face off in Austin, but does the new-look G2 have a chance against NaVi?

Betting tip: NaVi should be able to win against a G2 Esports that doesn’t actually have a future; though G2 has looked good enough that you shouldn’t expect any kind of lopsided victory.

My NaVi vs G2 Esports pick: NaVi 2-4 rounds winning margin on map 1 @ 3.04

Ahead of the BLAST Austin Major, news broke that G2 Esports’ current roster was doomed. In the conflict of interest disclosures, it came out that the team was set to pull a Team Falcons and pluck a few players out of Heroic’s roster. That made it easy to wonder whether G2 Esports would even bother bringing in an A-level effort for the tournament, never mind whether it could get A-level results.

So far though, G2 looks like it’s a legitimate threat. Across three best-of-ones, the team is 2-1. It started with a disastrous 13-5 loss to 3DMAX, but two convincing wins over Pain Gaming and Aurora Gaming. The 13-4 win over Aurora in particular was a wake-up call to the other teams in Austin. Aurora is arguably a top-five team, so G2 posting a big win against them sends a loud message.

NaVi didn’t need a wakeup call, and it doesn’t need to send any messages, though. The team has been solid throughout the year and has looked the part in Austin. Though it took a tough loss to regional rival Team Spirit, the team is still looking like a serious contender.

Aleksander “hades” Miśkiewicz is set to compete in just two tournaments for G2 before being shipped out of the team. Despite that, he’s been looking like a star for the team. He’ll need to kick things up another notch if G2 wants to take a win over NaVi though.

Stats include all matches played by both teams in 2025.

G2 and NaVi have played many times over the years, but only once in 2025. That match was a 2-0 win for NaVi, and that was against a G2 Esports that still had Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov.

NaVi started in stage three and went 2-0 in best-of-ones before losing to Spirit. Prior to this, the team suffered a quarterfinals exit from PGL Astana.

G2 overcame an ugly start to its BLAST Austin Major by going 2-1 in best-of-ones. It was previously seen in IEM Dallas, where it suffered a group stage elimination.

Market Odds
NaVi to win 1.4
G2 Esports to win 2.87

NaVi should be able to get this win, but it’s not going to come easy. The team doesn’t dominate overmatched opponents the way Team Spirit does, opening the door for winning margin bets and over/unders on rounds.

Opinion: Is Esports Tracing the Same Evolutionary Path As Traditional Sports?
