YouTube giant Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson has married his long-time partner and fellow creator Thea “TheaBeasty” Booysen in a low-key ceremony.

MrBeast met Thea Booysen during a trip to South Africa in 2022, and the two started dating in the same year. Booysen is also a content creator known online as TheaBeasty. She is famous for gaming streams. That’s not all she does, though, as Thea Booysen is also an author and esports commentator. She and MrBeast got engaged in 2024 and have now married in 2026 privately without turning the celebration into content.

The YouTuber teased his marriage in a cryptic X post, saying he may or may not be getting married. This confused several fans, as they were wondering whether MrBeast is actually marrying his fiancée, or just trolling everyone.

This was a drastic contrast from most milestones in MrBeast’s life and career, as he typically announces them properly and creates content.

However, the marriage turned out to be true. The YouTuber married his fiancée at Richard Branson’s private Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands. The guest list was short, with only 70 prioritized friends and family in attendance.

MrBeast later shared wedding pictures in an Instagram post. He captioned it that he had “found MrsBeast” and that it was the “best day of his life”.

Some fans expected coverage of the event given how MrBeast is known to turn milestones into content. However, MrBeast has previously said that he wants a “really private and intimate” proposal and small wedding despite being the biggest YouTuber in the world.

Thea Booysen is also a creator, so she understands what it means to be in the limelight. It’s possible the couple wanted to share the private moment with only close ones and not a public spectacle.

Our analysis: How marriage could change MrBeast’s career

Fans will likely expect MrBeast to create more personal content now that he’s married. However, given his content, it’s more likely that the YouTuber will continue to keep his personal life separate from his brand and identity as a YouTuber. Booysen has featured in some videos of his in the past, which could continue being the case.

The difference between Jimmy Donaldson and MrBeast may become more prominent. This is heavily supported by the fact that MrBeast didn’t turn his wedding into a content opportunity, not that MrBeast needs any as he recently crossed 500 million YT subs.

Thea may join the MrBeast brand, but we don’t think that her content would vary much. The obvious reason for this is that MrBeast is all about challenges and stunts, while Thea is a gaming streamer. The two understand the streaming life but are different types of creators. The husband and wife may share the screen, but it’s doubtful Thea will become a permanent part of MrBeast’s content.

It’s highly unlikely that MrBeast’s career will see a major shake-up, as both he and Thea are aware of how his channel works. The YouTuber will probably continue making large-scale productions and be seen on YouTube regularly.
