MOUZ has almost climbed its way out of the 0-2 hole it dug itself in the BLAST Austin Major, and Legacy is the last team standing between them and the playoffs.

Top pick MOUZ wins 2-1 @ 3.2
Betting favorite MOUZ

The BLAST Austin Major has been savaging fans’ pick’ems, and MOUZ has been a big part of that. MOUZ and Team Vitality both took shock best-of-one losses at the start of Stage 3 but while Vitality recovered quickly, MOUZ dropped another. That put MOUZ in a spot where it needed to win three straight elimination matches to survive. So far, so good for MOUZ and that’s bad news for Legacy.

My MOUZ vs Legacy pick: MOUZ wins 2-1 @ 3.2.

MOUZ vs Legacy recent form, rosters, and best maps

MOUZ found itself in a precarious position after best-of-one losses in its first appearances in the BLAST Austin Major. While much of the discourse surrounding this has focused on how difficult it will be to make a comeback, not much analysis has discussed the X’s and O’s of why it happened.

One of MOUZ’s strengths is that it doesn’t consistently rely on one single player to win.  Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás and Lotan “Spinx” Giladihas basically take turns being the MVP. That hasn’t really been the case in Austin so far, though.

Spinx has been the top performer on MOUZ, propelling the team past Team Liquid with a 70-kill series while sparking up Aurora in the opening map. While torzsi hasn’t been terrible throughout the tournament when he’s been bad, he’s been really bad. Though Spinx being the main man for MOUZ isn’t a bad thing, torzsi can’t take a game off against Legacy.

The Brazilian squad has been a shocker throughout its time in Austin, with the one-two AWPer combo of Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer and Bruno “latto” Rebelatto looking exceptional. Nobody is immune to them, which has led to wins over 3DMAX, FaZe Clan, and Vitality. If Legacy can beat Vitality, even in a best-of-one, there’s no question that they can beat MOUZ.

Still, expect MOUZ to continue its comeback run here.

MOUZ vs Legacy head-to-head history

MOUZ and Legacy have never played against each other. Legacy has spent most of the year competing in regional tournaments and only recently started to appear in tier-one events. That will likely change in the near future, though.

MOUZ and Legacy recent match history

MOUZ took an ugly loss to Vitality in the IEM Dallas finals and from there, suffered two best-of-one losses in BLAST Austin Major Stage 3. It’s digging its way out of that hole, but needs one more to make the playoffs:

Legacy started in the first stage of the BLAST Austin Major and taken a long road to get to this point.

MOUZ vs Legacy best betting picks and predictions

MOUZ’s 0-2 start to the group stage might have taken people by surprise, but the team hasn’t been untouchable all year. The team is more than capable of working its way out of tough situations, and should be able to do so by earning a playoffs spot here.
