The BLAST Rivals Spring group stage has wrapped and the playoffs will kick off with a spicy match between MOUZ and FaZe Clan.
Though BLAST Open events are big ones, Rivals and Bounty events fly by. The group stage closed after just a couple of days and the playoff matches are already set. One of the spicier matches to bet on is this showdown between MOUZ and FaZe Clan.
So what do you need to know before putting money down on this match? We break it down.
WINNER TO SEMI-FINAL! MOUZ vs Vitality – Official Highlights – BLAST Premier Rivals 2025 S1
MOUZ and FaZe Clan will play on May 2, 2025 in the BLAST Rivals Spring playoffs. The match is a quarterfinals showdown, and will be played in a best-of-three format. The winner will advance to the semifinals while the loser receives a $25,000 consolation prize.
MOUZâs group stage run in BLAST Rivals Spring encapsulated the teamâs 2025. It entered looking strong, looked good against Pain Gaming, then took a loss to Team Vitality. That was still good enough to get the team into the playoffs, though.
MOUZâs full roster is in attendance for BLAST Rivals Spring:
MOUZ is feasting on Ancient and Nuke, with a 10-3 and 13-6 record on those maps, respectively. Unfortunately, itâs famished over on Inferno, where it has a 5-10 record. MOUZ instantly bans Anubis.
The ever-controversial FaZe Clan has been posting mixed results since splitting with Robin “ropz” Kool. This ranges from third place in PGL Bucharest to an early elimination from BLAST Open Spring. The team is still generally regarded as a top-10 squad, but it has shown some cracks of late.
The FaZe roster started BLAST Rivals Spring with a loss to Team Falcons but bounced back with a win over FlyQuest to get into the playoffs:
FaZe has a middle-of-the-road record across all seven active duty maps in Counter-Strike 2. It has an even or slightly winning record across almost all maps, with its best being a 9-6 run on Ancient to this point in 2025. The only map where it has a losing record is Mirage, where the team is 2-3.
FaZe and MOUZ havenât played much in 2025, facing off just once in February at PGL Cluj-Napoca. That match was won 2-0 by FaZe, though MOUZ has also improved considerably since then. Prior to this, FaZe lost to MOUZ in IEM Rio 2024 and the 2024 BLAST World Final but won a best-of-one in the PGL Shanghai Major group stage.
WINNER TO PLAYOFFS! FlyQuest vs FaZe – Official Highlights – BLAST Premier Rivals 2025 S1
MOUZ is a 1.4 favorite to beat FaZe Clan in their playoffs match in BLAST Rivals Spring. Bookies seem to be selling their proverbial stock in FaZe Clan, who sit at 2.93, or theyâre very bullish on MOUZ. Either way, itâs clear who they expect to win.
MOUZ should be able to get the win over FaZe Clan in the BLAST Rivals Spring group stage. The team wonât necessarily brutalize FaZe Clan, but the betting lines are skewed for a reason.
